TEENAGE PREGNANCY

Teenage pregnancies are typically associated with deprived areas with many families and young people. With the local composition of Mosaic Types we would expect to see many hospitalisations from residents in Metro Multiculture (43% of Southwark households) are the single biggest neighbourhood risk group.

The following table shows the teenage pregnancy admission risk estimate by Mosaic UK types in Southwark. The values are calculated using the index described in the profiling section. For each postcode type is also reported the rank of the Index of Multiple Deprivation (1= most deprived; 0=least deprived). Shading indicates association with the 20% most deprived areas in UK.
